Dental Care Today, located in Melbourne eastern suburbs, is a provider clinic for Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides Medicare benefits for basic dental services for eligible children aged 2 to 17 years, capped at $1095 per child over a two calendar year period.  Adult dental not covered by Medicare.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule is the replacement for the Medicare Teen Dental Plan, which ended on December 31, 2013.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule commenced on January 1, 2014.

Dental Care Today, our clinic in Melbourne eastern suburbs, will bulk bill services provided under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).  No bulk billing available for adult dental.

In accordance with the Dental Benefits Rules 2013 legislation, child dental scheme patients who are bulk billed through Medicare will not incur a charge or gap of any kind for the service provided. 

Parents please be advised - services available under the Medicare child dental scheme were established by the Dental Benefits Rules 2013 legislation.  Medicare benefits are not available for all dentist procedures.

Benefits available for:
Examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, extractions, partial dentures and management of dental emergencies.

Benefits not available for:
Orthodontic or cosmetic treatments, or any procedure provided in a hospital.
